2008 MICAH 6 DINNER HELD APRIL 27TH
Pastors for Peace Speak about their work in Cuba
 This year's Micah 6 Dinner and Awards Ceremony, annually sponsored by the Justice and Peace Committee, was held on Sunday, April 27th at 5:00 PM. The Rev. Max Hale was the Guest Speaker and he shared information about “Pastors for Peace” which is holding their 19th “Friendship Caravan” to Cuba in July. The group collects donations and supplies for humanitarian relief, and takes a group of volunteers every summer to learn about life in Cuba under the US trade embargo. UCC churches in Pueblo have supported this effort.
An authentic Cuban meal was served.
We honored our 2008 Micah 6 Award Recipients: Linda LeMieux, Guy McPherson & Marilyn Robbins.
At this annual dinner, the Micah 6 Honorees received the community's joy and blessings; they help to make our church work with spirit and authenticity.
